ThermaCAM Reporter Infrared Training Course

Course Objectives
The Introduction to Report Writing Course teaches infrared camera owners how to leverage the power of ThermaCAM Reporter software to generate inspection reports and perform detailed infrared image analysis. Regardless of the type of FLIR measurement camera that you use, ThermaCAM Reporter software is the simplest and quickest way to communicate the critical details of an infrared inspection. Students will receive comprehensive hands-on instruction in our state-of-the-art classroom consisting of 32 personal workstations.

Three report writing products are covered, in the following order:
ThermaCAM Reporter 8.x
ThermaCAM Reporter 7
ThermaCAM Reporter 2000

Course Benefits
Learn how to use Report Wizards to add IR images, associated photos, text comments, etc. to a new report. No need to add pages one-by-one, Reporter can automatically create all of the pages for you.
Learn how to create a quick report by using ‘Drag and Drop’.
Learn how to adjust IR image properties such as level, span, color palette and object parameters in the report.
Learn how to perform detailed IR image analysis by using measurement tools such as Spot Meters, Areas, Lines, and Isotherms. The Delta tool can also be used to automatically calculate a temperature rise between analysis tools (Reporter 7 and 8.1).
Learn how to use Image Fusion to blend an IR image with a photo (Reporter 8.1 and 8.2).
Learn how to customize an existing template to change text comments, the company logo, temperature units, and a variety of other parameters.

This training is informational only; there is no test and no certification is given.

Note: QuickReport is covered on Monday afternoon during the “Setup and Operation” portion of the Level I and II Thermography courses.

By the end of the course students will have an excellent understanding of how to quickly produce a detailed and professional report using ThermaCAM Reporter. Students will also understand how to change critical IR image parameters in the report and how to use the vast array of measurement tools at their disposal. Finally, students will understand how to modify an existing template to meet their specific needs. ThermaCAM Reporter is a powerful tool and, when utilized to its full potential, can optimize the report writing process.

Note: Individual and web-based training courses are also available. Please contact the ITC for more details.
